13.30MW Asia No. 1 Logistics Park Roof Mounting System | Zhejiang, China

March 18, 2026

1. Project Overview

•Project Background:
The project is located in Zhejiang Province and forms an important part of JD.com’s “Asia No.1” intelligent logistics park network. As a key initiative supporting the green transformation of JD Logistics’ operations, the project fully utilizes the large rooftop areas of the park’s warehouse facilities to develop a distributed photovoltaic power plant. Through the innovative “PV + Smart Logistics” model, the project provides clean electricity for energy-intensive logistics operations such as automated sorting and intelligent packaging, supporting the development of a green supply chain ecosystem.

•Project Requirements:The project involves the construction of a 13.30MW distributed PV system on large metal-roof warehouse buildings. The core requirement was to obtain a safe, reliable, highly compatible, and rapidly deployable rooftop mounting solution. Specifically, the solution needed to:(1)Be designed in strict accordance with a 0.45 kN/m² wind and snow load requirement, ensuring structural safety. (2) Coordinate with the 24/7 high-intensity operations of the logistics park to enable low-impact construction. (3) Adopt non-penetrative installation technology to preserve the waterproof integrity and long-term safety of the warehouse roof structures.
2. Project Challenges

2.1 Structural Protection Requirements for High-Standard Warehouse Buildings
•The Asia No.1 logistics park maintains extremely strict requirements regarding building safety. PV installation must not damage the roof waterproof layer, and additional loads must not compromise the structural integrity of the existing buildings. This places strict constraints on the connection methods and load distribution of the mounting system.

2.2 Wind Resistance and Durability in Coastal Climate Conditions
•Located in a coastal region, the project must meet a 0.45 kN/m² wind and snow load design requirement, while the humid marine climate presents challenges for the corrosion resistance of metal components. The mounting system therefore requires excellent wind resistance and long-term environmental durability.

2.3 Construction Coordination under High-Efficiency Logistics Operations
•The logistics park operates 24 hours a day without interruption, leaving limited construction windows. Installation activities must avoid any disruption to key operations such as warehousing and automated sorting. This requires an extremely simplified installation process and highly efficient on-site coordination.
3. Solution
Antaisolar provided a customized metal-roof PV mounting solution designed specifically for logistics warehouse rooftops, featuring a single-span vertical module layout.

3.1 Structural Safety and Non-Penetrative Installation
A 60 mm standing seam clamp system is adopted, securely connecting to the standing seam metal roof without penetrating the roof surface. This non-penetrative installation method fundamentally protects the roof’s waterproof integrity and structural safety.
The clamps have undergone rigorous pull-out resistance testing, ensuring reliable connection performance under 0.45 kN/m² wind load conditions.

3.2 Wind Resistance and Long-Term Durability
•The main load-bearing structure uses high-strength H-profile aluminum rails with a wall thickness of 1.2 mm, providing excellent bending stiffness and load-bearing capacity while meeting the 0.45 kN/m² wind and snow load design requirement.
•The combination of rails and clamps forms a robust support structure, while mid and end clamps securely fix the PV modules, ensuring long-term stable operation in coastal wind conditions.

3.3 Efficient Installation and Construction Coordination
•The modular “clamp + rail + clamp block” design significantly simplifies on-site installation. Only minimal fastening operations are required to secure the modules, greatly reducing construction impact on logistics park operations.
•All components are standardized and pre-assembled in the factory, enabling “plug-and-position” installation on site. Multiple teams can work simultaneously across different zones, significantly shortening the overall construction schedule.

4. Project Results

•The 13.30MW PV project at the Asia No.1 logistics park in Zhejiang has been successfully completed and put into operation. The customized rooftop mounting solution provided by Antaisolar demonstrates safety, reliability, and high efficiency, perfectly adapting to the large warehouse rooftops while delivering a stable supply of green electricity to the park.

•Across the Zhejiang logistics parks, the projects are expected to generate over 24 million kWh of electricity annually, reducing more than 20,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per year. The clean electricity fully supports multiple logistics applications including warehouse lighting, automated sorting, and intelligent packaging, significantly reducing the operational carbon footprint of the logistics parks. The project successfully demonstrates the deep integration of photovoltaic power generation and smart logistics, providing a replicable model for deploying distributed PV systems across large warehouse logistics parks and building green supply chain ecosystems.
